Allfarthing School

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At Allfarthing we are very proud of the diversity which exists within our school community. We have children, families and staff from a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, beliefs and faiths. We pride ourselves on creating a safe learning environment that celebrates the inclusion of all.

Excellence for all with Equity at its core
Differences and similarities celebrated
Involved, valued, welcomed and safe

We teach the children about equality, diversity and inclusion embedded throughout the curriculum, through regular opportunities in assembly, School Council, educational visits, visitors and we aim to reflect these values in our day to day interactions with the children.

Through the use of ‘The Equalities Code’, we teach children about suitable language and the impact of prejudicial language.  We make every effort to make our playgrounds safe and enjoyable places to be. We place a high priority on regular training of staff and we value our ‘Pupil Voice’ input.  Pupils' views and opinions are regularly sought in a variety of ways, including through the School Council, surveys and podcasts. Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.
